Sick-O's with a Proud Mommy Moment

So Quite honestly, I've been enjoying blogging when I have funny stories to tell. Unfortunately, I really don't have much to blog about that has been anywhere near as funny as that crazy lady who stole my poinsettia plant.  Anyway,  It's been a horrible last 2 weeks having survived 1 week of the stomach flu and 1 week of a bad chest cold in our house.  All of us were sick....it was miserable...but I managed to stay strong for both my "Children" when the first round of sickness hit.   Jason and Emily were the first in line to be attacked by the nasty stomach flu....and I put on my Florence Nightengale cap along with my janitor bucket and handy dandy Carpet shampooer.   Poor Jason had it the worse...i've never seen him so sick.  Projectile Vomiting in One Bedroom...then all the sudden, I hear a higher pitched regurgitation down the hall...and I was like...OH NO....not EMILY!.....I go down the hall envisioning all her bedsheets were covered with gross pukey stuff.  Instead.....I had a very proud Mommy moment.  Emily had remembered about a month ago when she puked last, that I told her next time she felt sick, to get her princess bucket...and to throw up in the pail.  Lo and Behold....I find her puking in her little princess bucket....AND...she had placed it ergonomically correct on her little chair so she wouldn't hurt her little back.  Sigh....I just wanted to cry I was so happy.....not only did she remember what she had to do....She had great biomechanics....it was awesome!

Anyway...after that I fell victim with the flu and mild stomach stuff....but grateful it wasn't to the extent that Jason and Emily had.  However...the following battle was a course of a bad Chest Cold....and I learned my lesson the last time....I got our Family doc to prescribe us all a course of Antibiotics....We needed to nip this in the bud....and We are finally seeing the light and finally feeling a little normal.

Out of Courtesy, I will not post any photos along with this commentary....but as you can envision, It wasn't a pleasant experience.

The Elvis Song that is playing concurrently while you read this blog is for your listening pleasure.....It just reminded me of my dad and how much he loved listening to Elvis.  So Enjoy. :-D
