A New Year...A New Adventure...A New Beginning

Dear Family & Friends-
Welcome to those who are curious to check out our Blog. I have been trying to develop my blogging skills for the past week before inviting more people to check it out. Quite honestly it has been pretty neat to finally figure what people have been talking about. Who knew that "Blog" would be a common word to use...I just find it funny. They should just call it "Blah" because that's basically what I'm doing. Anyway......
Some of you may already know...and some may not know....but Jason and I feel comfortable about talking about our soon to be plans and the journey that has led us to what may come.................... We are Moving to Texas............................Just Kidding!!!! (I couldn't resist...sorry!) Actually, Jason and I have decided that we are moving forward with going through Adoption.....and for people that are already thinking we are adopting another cat.....The answer would be NO....we are NOT adopting another Cat to add to our pack.

We have decided to start the process of adoption via County Adoption services. We have pondered and prayed about it...and events prior to making our decision has made us feel at peace and comfortable with the choice to begin our family this way. To those who are curious of why we are pursuing this and not trying everything possible to help us......we found our answer after I had Surgery before Christmas last December. I have a condition that is severe....with a very low chance for even having a successful pregnancy. The chances are only slightly higher with assisted fertility treatment...Maybe 30% with in vitro, but the costs of the procedure in light of this percentage...it doesn't feel right to us. I know that heavenly father has blessed us with this knowledge, it has brought a lot of closure...and had lifted a lot of burden from my shoulders personally. It has given us explanations to why I had another miscarriage last Sept & back in 2005. It explains a lot about infertility...as well as a lot of other issues I never really had answers to. I'm grateful that we know that we can make informed choices with the gift of knowledge....and I know that there are little spirits out there that need a loving home. A home that hopefully Jason and I will be able to provide. We began our journey yesterday, at a mandatory Orientation meeting necessary to begin the process. We have a lot of paperwork to fill out, and requirements to meet...so it's a little overwhelming.

We wanted to share the good news with our family & close friends....and hope that you will support us in this new adventure. Kim & Jason

This was uplifting to read, but my heart skipped a beat when I read..."moving to Texas"!..what?! We are excited about the adoption process and feel some lucky little baby/child is going to have the most loving parents possible. You are both so deserving of a new little Spirit--or two or three or more... in your home/lives.
With love, Mom/Wanda..future Grandma of ???? :):)

Great news.
We need good families to raise these adopted children.
